FAQ's
While we tried to think of every question, we also have two kids under 3 so our brains aren't always (or ever) functioning at 100% - please EMAIL us if you have any additional questions: info@dozeanddig.com
What are the age requirements?
Our space is designed for kiddos 8 and under. While we love older kids, we've decided to put an age limit on our sandbox to keep ages 0-8 most comfortable with safe and age-appropriate play.
What if I rent the space for a party - can our older kids play?
Absolutely! We have the 8 and under rules for our general public. If you throw a party, you are welcome to invite all ages.
If my child is under 8 and has an older sibling or friend, can the older child join in the sandbox?
We appreciate the wish for siblings to enjoy playtime together, but our sandboxes are strictly limited to children 8 years and younger to promote safety and age-suitable activities during standard business hours. We welcome all age groups during private parties!
Can parents get in the sandbox?
Absolutely! We have benches along the perimeter of the sandbox for sideline-sitting. If playing in the sand is more your style, we encourage that too! Just please take your shoes off.
Are shoes allowed?
No shoes in the sand box. This helps ensure no one is tracking outside junk into the sand, helping keep it clean and debris-free. We have shoe cubbies by the check-in desk and around the sandbox.
Is throwing sand allowed?
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

Can I bury my friend in the sand?
See above, ya stinker.
Do adults need a valid Driver's License or State ID to enter the premises?
Yes! All guardians, parents, and visitors over 18 will need to provide a valid state ID to be admitted entrance. We run all ID's through the National Sex Offender Public Website and use Raptor Technologies to cross-check the national database. If flagged, entry will be denied. Safety is our absolute top priority.
Do I have to sign a waiver?
Yes. All guests must have a completed waiver on file.
Do my children need a waiver?
Yes. Adults will need to complete a waiver for each child visiting.
What if I'm not playing in the sand...do I still have to sign the waiver?
Yes. Everyone with a pulse that walks through the door will need to have a waiver on file.
Do parents have to pay admission?
Admission is included for 2 adults with each child visitor. We welcome additional adults with a $5 visitor fee!
Can I drop off my child and come back to pick them up?
Not a chance. Doze and Dig is not a licensed child-care facility, so adults must stay and supervise their child(ren). We encourage adults to relax and enjoy our comfy couches while your kids play but you must keep an eye on them while in our facility.
Is there a sand-free space for babies or toddlers?
Yes! We have a designated "sand-free" area for the youngest kids that includes books and toys for ages 0-18 months. We ask that older kids keep out of the sand-free space, as this is reserved for our babies.
Do we need to bring our own sand toys?
Nope! We've got ya covered. Doze and Dig has 100's of toys and we routinely cycle them out to keep the kids from getting bored with the same toys each visit.
What type of sand is used in the sandbox?
Our sandbox is home to over 30 tons of white, gorgeous, imported Bahamian sand. Calcean Baha Play Sand is dust free, silica free, quartz free, allergen free, non-toxic, and ethically harvested.
Does Doze and Dig have WiFi available?
Yes.
What are the cleaning protocols for the sand?
We're PROACTIVE:
-We have a strict no food + no drink policy in the sandbox to help minimize messes in the sand.
-No shoes are allowed in the sandbox to help eliminate any outside "junk" from being tracked into the sand.

We AERATE:
-We spray, rake, and turn over our sand each night to ensure it stays fresh. This also helps prevent the sand from getting packed down and dusty.

We TREAT:
-We routinely treat our sand with a non-toxic, hydrogen-peroxide based spray.
We FILTER:
-Doze and Dig has invested in commercial air filtration systems to keep the air clean and safe.
What are the cleaning protocols for the toys?
Our toys are cleaned and disinfected according to the CDC guidelines thoroughly and regularly.
Does Doze and Dig have food or snacks available?
We do! We have a wide variety of pre-packaged food and snacks provided in our self-serve kitchenette. Our food is thoughtfully sourced - with emphasis on healthy, high protein, dye-free, and clean ingredients. We have also made an intentional effort to keep our snacks reasonably priced, because we know that you're already spending a small fortune on blueberries and chicken nuggets at home.
Does Doze and Dig have coffee and tea available?
We sure do! We proudly serve Nespresso brand and Starbucks brand coffee. We have all the extras to personalize your brew, including a variety of Torani and Monin syrups, coffee creamers, honey, sweeteners, and toppings. We have real life mugs for hot drinks and recycled cups for iced coffee.
We also have a variety of iced and hot teas to choose from if coffee isn't your cup of tea (see what we did there?).
Can I bring in outside food or drinks?
We do not allow outside food or drinks unless you are using the party room. Water bottles are always welcome and we have a bottle filling station for your convenience.

We are a PEANUT-FREE facility. Absolutely no peanuts - that includes no PB&J's, trail mixes with peanuts, Reese's PB candies, Butterfingers, Snickers, Baby Ruths, etc. Leave them at home.
Are there any special discounts or group prices for Daycares, Church groups, etc.?
Definitely! Give us a call!
What is the "sick" policy?
If you're sick, please stay home!
To ensure the safety of all visitors, we require that children or accompanying family members / guests exhibiting any signs of illness—such as diarrhea, a fever of 100°F or higher, severe cough or croup, sore throat or swollen glands, vomiting or nausea, pink eye, an unexplained rash, sneezing, or a green or yellow runny nose—or any other contagious conditions, please please please refrain from visiting until no longer infectious. If you have pre-purchased a day pass and your little is sick on the day of your planned visit, we will happily honor your day pass at a later date.
What happens if my kiddo or I can't follow the rules?
Great question! We take our simple rules seriously to protect all our visitors. For this reason, we'll give two verbal warnings if rules aren't being followed. If after the second warning we're still not on the same page, we will kindly ask you to end your visit and pound sand (ba dum tss).
